Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce Today
(Ages 13–17)
The Teen Builder Academy is a 12-week transformative program designed to prepare teens for future careers in construction and skilled trades. Built on a foundation of pre-apprenticeship training, the program combines hands-on technical instruction with workforce readiness and essential life skills—equipping youth with the tools they need to succeed in work and in life.
🔨 What Students Receive:
Teen participants move from curiosity to capability as they:
- Learn job site protocols and professional expectations
- Master tool safety and hands-on skills in various trade areas
- Receive one-on-one and group mentorship from industry professionals
- Practice blueprint reading, material estimation, and site planning
- Build real-world confidence through team projects and role-play simulations
- Receive Classes: Held twice a week, in the evening from 6:00 to 8:30pm
- Earn Certifications: Get certified in CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 10 safety training.
- Career Development: Build your resume with newly acquired skills, learn goal setting and expand your professional network.
💼 Career-Ready Outcomes:
Upon completion, every Teen Builder Academy participant graduates with:
- A starter tool kit to launch their journey in trades
- Resume writing support and mock interviews
- Job shadowing opportunities with local businesses and contractors
- Exposure to real career pathways in construction, engineering, and more
🧠 Beyond the Hard Skills:
The Academy goes beyond hammers and hard hats. We focus on developing:
- Leadership & Communication Skills
- Financial Literacy & Time Management
- Goal-Setting, Accountability, and Teamwork
🤝 Community Mentorship:
We proudly partner with local contractors, engineers, and tradespeople who serve as role models and guides—showing students what success looks like and helping them see their future more clearly.
