The Junior Trades Academy is more than just a construction programs, it’s an experience that equips youth with the skills, confidence, and curiosity to explore real-world trades. Designed for youth ages 4 to 12, this hands-on training sparks interest in how things are built, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and leadership in every project.

In an environment that mirrors real-world trade settings, students are introduced to the fundamentals of construction while developing essential life skills. Through interactive, project-based learning, participants gain a deeper understanding of craftsmanship and teamwork skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

What Youth Learn:

In our Junior Trades sessions, students explore a variety of disciplines through engaging, project-based learning that mirrors real-world trade environments. Topics include:

  • Construction Fundamentals: Students begin with the basics, learning about safety, measurements, and the math behind every successful build.
  • Blueprint Reading & Design Thinking: Youth develop spatial awareness and learn to interpret simple blueprints, turning their creative ideas into real-world designs.
  • Construction Finishes: From painting and tiling to exploring textures and finishes, students discover how details bring projects to life.
  • Problem Solving & Teamwork: Hands-on projects encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and leadership as teams work together to overcome challenges.
